Artist Statement

As a child, my father’s stories    about our heritage captivated my imagination. Puerto Rican culture is a vibrant blend of Taíno, African, and European traditions. Those early stories sparked my passion for sharing our rich culture through sculpture grounded in ancestral memory and archaeological echoes.
Working with clay lets me reimagine Taíno petroglyphs in three dimensions, breathing new life into ancient forms. Each piece reflects my identity and a deep commitment to cultural preservation.
My art celebrates human stories: lost civilizations, cultural intersections, and the enduring spirit of Borikén (Puerto Rico). I create to honor the past and inspire future generations.
Sharing our Culture one Sculpture at a Time!
